Use of non-electronic word-to-word bilingual dictionaries This support is intended for students who use such dictionaries on a regular basis in the classroom to aid in their understanding of content in their core subject areas. Note: Word-to-word dictionaries do not provide definitions of words for students but only provide a translation of individual words. Students may use this Designated Support if they are taking the paper/pencil or online tests for the M-STEP mathematics, science, or social studies assessments. Use of this support may result in the student needing additional overall time to complete the assessment. Because of security issues, students can only use a paper-based form of these dictionaries.
