Dr. Ann Ebe is an educator, researcher, and international professional learning facilitator whose work focuses on multilingual literacy, bilingual education, and teacher preparation. Her research examines literacy development for multilingual learners, translanguaging, and culturally and linguistically sustaining instructional practices. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters and is co-author of Insight from the Eyes: The Science of Effective Reading Instruction and ESL Teaching: Principles for Success.
In addition to her scholarship, Dr. Ebe serves as Director of Professional Practice and Community Partnerships at Queens College, City University of New York. She began her career as a bilingual classroom teacher and has held leadership roles as a reading specialist, school administrator, university professor, and program director. Dr. Ebe has worked with educators throughout the United States and internationally to develop bilingual education, literacy, and teacher preparation programs that support multilingual learners.
